Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, Ltd. (MOL; President & CEO: Takeshi Hashimoto) today announced the publication of its integrated "MOL Report 2024."
The report is intended to provide shareholders, investors, and other stakeholders with a better understanding of MOL Group's vision, the challenges it faces, and the actions it is taking to address these challenges, based on the MOL Group management plan "BLUE ACTION 2035," as well as the group's progress during the first year of the plan. In addition, as MOL celebrates the 140th anniversary of its founding in 2024, it has updated its "Value Creation Model" (see the figure below, page 13 in the report) to realize the group vision.
While the main scenario is to transform the company's portfolio to generate stable profits even when shipping markets are in a downturn, the report introduces many specific initiatives to vividly illustrate the correlation between our three core strategies (portfolio strategy, regional strategy, and environmental strategy) and our commitment to the five sustainability issues (safety, environment, human capital, digital transformation (DX), and governance), as well as their connection to our various businesses.
