Deputy Prime Minister for Energy Affairs - Minister of Oil, Mr. Hayan Abdul Ghani, received the Chairman and members of the Oil, Gas and Natural Resources Committee in the Council of Representatives.
The Minister presented a briefing on the most important projects implemented by the Ministry within its plans to develop the oil and gas industry, stressing the importance of cooperation between the legislative and executive authorities in the service of the public interest.
For his part, Mr. Haibat Al-Halbousi, Chairman of the Parliamentary Oil, Gas and Natural Resources Committee, stressed the importance of cooperation and joint coordination between the Ministry and the Committee, pointing out the Committee's keenness to provide support to the Ministry through meetings and exchange and respect for views, in addition to approving laws that contribute to the development of the oil industry and optimal investment of national wealth.
The meeting was attended by the Undersecretaries of the Ministry and a number of officials in the Ministry's central departments.
