Deputy Prime Minister for Energy Affairs and Minister of Oil, Mr. Hayan Abdul Ghani Al-Sawad, met with a delegation from the American company Baker Hughes, as part of the program of meeting international companies to discuss the development of the oil industry and optimal investment in gas. During the meeting, the development work carried out by the company in the oil and gas fields in Iraq in cooperation with the ministry was discussed, in addition to discussing the projects that the ministry is keen to implement in the gas investment sector, especially exploration blocks and undeveloped oil and gas fields, within the government program and strategic plans of the ministry.
The company's delegation included the company's Vice President for Oil Field Services, Mr. Amerino Gatti, the company's Vice President for Technology and Climate Affairs, Alessandro Bresciani, the company's Vice President for Political Affairs and Global Governments, Matt Armstrong, and the company's services manager at Tawfic Al-Ezz, Iraq.
The Iraqi side was attended by the Undersecretary of the Ministry for Gas Affairs, Mr. Izzat Saber, representatives of the Iraqi Embassy in America and the Consulate in Houston, the Prime Minister’s Advisor, Mr. Falah Al-Amiri, the Director General of the Department of Studies, Planning and Follow-up, Mr. Naseer Aziz, and the Director General of the Southern Refineries Company, Hassanem Hussein Wali.
