The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Oil for Extraction Affairs, Mr. Bassem Mohammed Khader, received the Executive Director of the French company TotalEnergies in Iraq, Ms. Dunya Al-Chalabi. The Undersecretary stressed the Ministry's keenness to complete the steps to implement the integrated gas project in Basra, which comes in implementation of the directives of the Deputy Prime Minister for Energy Affairs and Minister of Oil, Mr. Hayan Abdul-Ghani Al-Sawad, and the government program.
Al-Chalabi confirmed that Total is proceeding with implementing all stages of the project according to what was previously agreed upon, and according to the specified timetables.
The meeting was attended by the Undersecretary of the Ministry for Gas Affairs, Mr. Izzat Saber Ismail, and the Director General of the Contracts and Licensing Department, Mr. Basem Taher.
