Iraq Receives the Director of the British BP Company

The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Oil for Extraction Affairs, Mr. Bassem Mohammed Khudair, received the General Manager of the British BP Company in Iraq, Mr. Zaid Al-Yasiri, and during the meeting, they discussed the development of the Rumaila oil field. The Undersecretary stressed the Ministry's keenness to develop production in the field and its sustainability, to achieve economic development, especially since the field is one of the largest oil fields in Iraq.

Al-Yasiri praised the continued fruitful cooperation between BP and the Ministry of Oil, pointing out the company's full commitment to implementing its plans to develop the field in a way that enhances the capabilities of the Iraqi oil sector.

The meeting was attended by the Director General of the Department of Reservoirs and Field Development and the Director General of the Department of Petroleum Contracts and Licensing.
