GF Piping Systems is excited to present its full range of cutting-edge solutions for hydrogen applications at the Hydrogen Technology Expo 2024. Visitors will experience an interactive journey through the 3D Hydrogen Digital World, where we highlight our innovations in hydrogen production, distribution, and usage.

As a global leader in polymer piping systems, GF Piping Systems is driving the future of hydrogen with corrosion-free polymer piping solutions that meet some of the industry's toughest challenges to ensure the safe and efficient transportation of diverse media across the hydrogen value chain. The booth will feature international experts sharing insights into our solutions and how our polymer piping systems can contribute to green hydrogen in terms of production, distribution and usage.

The heart of our booth will be the 3D Hydrogen Digital World, an interactive display that immerses visitors in the hydrogen landscape of GF Piping Systems. Visitors will gain a comprehensive view of how we are shaping the future of hydrogen across various applications. Starting with the production phase, our PROGEF polypropylene (PP) welded piping system ensures optimal performance in electrolysers by minimizing ion leach-out.

Our contribution to the transport of hydrogen is the safe distribution of hydrogen through systems such as ELGEF Plus and MULTI/JOINT® 3000 Plus, both certified as ‘H2-ready’ for pressures up to 10 bar. Additionally, we will highlight Type-IV inner liner components for hydrogen storage systems. Made from high-performance polyamide, these components provide essential durability and gas barrier properties for high-pressure hydrogen storage in lightweight composite cylinders, ensuring safe and efficient large-scale storage and transport.

We are showcasing the effectiveness of efficient piping systems in hydrogen production. Our PROGEF piping solution effectively manages the high-purity water required for electrolysis, enhancing performance and ensuring long-term reliability because of minimized impurities input in the balance of plant. Cyrus Ardjomandi, Business Development Manager at GF, stated, “Especially due to their extremely low leach-out, and flexibility, plastic piping systems are significantly more qualified than metal materials for applications with deionized water and specifically for electrolysers.”

Visitors will also discover GF Piping Systems’ full portfolio of products, including conductivity sensors that support the growing hydrogen sector by ensuring precision in water loops of electrolysers and PEM (proton-exchange membrane) fuel cells. These sensors play a key role in maintaining efficiency and accuracy in hydrogen systems.

At Hydrogen Technology Expo 2024, GF Piping Systems is pleased to share its booth with GF Machining Solutions, highlighting our partnership in advancing hydrogen production technologies. GF Machining Solutions provides comprehensive precision manufacturing solutions, particularly in the New Energy Vehicle (NEV) sector, which supports our efforts in producing solutions for bipolar plates molds. These bipolar plates are essential components of the electrolyser stack in Polymer Electrolyte Membrane Water Electrolysers (PEMWEs), playing a vital role in hydrogen production and also for PEM fuel cells usage. Their performance relies significantly on the materials used in their construction. By focusing on cost-effective and corrosion-resistant materials, we ensure that our bipolar plates enhance the efficiency of polymer electrolyte membrane water electrolyser, contributing to sustainable hydrogen production.
