The Mina Al-Ahmadi Refinery, affiliated with the Kuwait National Petroleum Company, has achieved an exceptional global achievement in the field of risk management and operational safety by obtaining a standard rating of 98.4 points according to a field survey conducted by a group of international insurance companies, "which is the highest point rate recorded by the refinery in its history." Deputy CEO for Projects and Official Spokesperson for the Kuwait National Petroleum Company Ghanem Al-Otaibi told the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) today, Thursday, that the field survey was conducted by a group of well-known international insurance companies, including the American Marsh Company, the American International Group, Liberty Company, and Score Company.

Al-Otaibi added that this evaluation comes within the framework of the annual review that all Kuwaiti oil sector facilities undergo, which aims to measure the extent of commitment to international safety standards and the readiness of facilities to confront potential risks. He explained that this achievement acquires special importance in light of the recent expansions witnessed by the Mina Al-Ahmadi Refinery, which included the addition of environmental fuel units and the fifth gas line, which led to an increase in the complexity of operations and the multiplicity of assets, stressing that this high rating places the refinery among the list of the best oil refineries in the world.

Al-Otaibi stressed that the result achieved by the refinery reflects the extent of KNPC's commitment to effective strategies for managing risks and protecting individuals and assets. He stated that the refinery's work teams were praised by inspection experts due to their high efficiency in terms of strict application of best practices and international standards, continuous innovation in work systems and procedures, investment in health, safety and environment, adoption of high-level training programs for employees, accurate implementation of periodic maintenance plans and effective response to recommendations of previous inspection teams. He explained that this achievement is the result of the efforts of all employees in the refinery and the directives of the company's senior management, expressing pride and honor in this advanced level that enhances KNPC's position as a leading company committed to the highest standards of safety and quality in its various operations.
