The Chairman and CEO of the SONATRACH Group , Mr. Rachid HACHICHI, supervised, at the Oran Convention Center, the signing ceremony of a partnership contract between HYPROC Shipping Company, a subsidiary of SONATRACH , and Algérie Télécom Satellite (ATS), a subsidiary of the Algérie Télécom Group, aimed at providing satellite telecommunications services to ships at sea using VSAT technology.
This contract provides for the modernization of the means of communication on board the ships of the fleet of the company HYPROC, responsible for the maritime transport of hydrocarbons, with the aim of improving the quality of communications and safety on board its ships. The aim of this agreement is to meet HYPROC's growing connectivity needs, while facilitating the management of its maritime operations. In this context, HYPROC will benefit from high-speed internet coverage and other satellite communication services.
The company's fleet, made up of 11 Algerian-flagged vessels, will thus have high-speed connectivity in maritime areas that cannot be covered by other communications networks.
This contract, which represents an important step in improving the maritime communication capabilities of the HYPROC company, also reflects the company's commitment to successfully carry out its digital transformation and optimize its services. It is also part of the strategy adopted by the SONATRACH Group to encourage national integration through the creation of synergies between national companies.
