Jilin Sells the First Batch of LNG Gas Stations

China Petroleum Network News (Reporter Huang Wei, Zhang Lili) As of the end of October, Jilin Sales has built and put into operation 7 LNG filling stations. The average daily sales of LNG in October hit a new high, an increase of 140% from August.

In recent years, as the substitution effect of natural gas on diesel continues to strengthen, the demand for LNG resources from large passenger cars and heavy trucks entering Jilin Province has continued to increase. Jilin Sales has seized the golden opportunity of market development and carefully selected sites to build LNG outlets, taking into account multiple factors such as routes with large LNG vehicle traffic, the possibility of setting up LNG at low-sales and low-efficiency stations, and regional market prospects.

Jilin Sales selected routes with large LNG traffic in Jilin Province and took the lead in setting up four LNG outlets in gas stations on National Highway 102, which runs parallel to the Beijing-Harbin Expressway in Jilin Province. One of them has been completed and put into operation, and another three are under construction. In addition, Jilin Sales plans to build four more LNG outlets on National Highways 202 and 203, which have large traffic volumes, this year.

During the site selection process, Jilin Sales inspected low-sales and low-efficiency stations with LNG market potential one by one, and based on the principle of investment and efficiency, planned to add LNG business in batches at qualified stations. Among them, the Xianliang refueling station in Shuangliao area of ??Siping Branch has seen a steady increase in LNG sales since the addition of LNG business. The average daily sales in October increased 19 times compared with the first month of operation, and LNG business has become a profit growth point for the station.

In order to save time and cost, Jilin Sales prefers LNG skid-mounted equipment when carrying out LNG project construction, taking advantage of its small footprint and fast installation speed. The construction cost can be reduced by about 20% and the construction period can be saved by more than 15 days.

In order to quickly expand the natural gas market, Jilin Sales established a special management team for natural gas sales, further improved the natural gas operation and management methods, understood the market situation station by station, and carried out preferential activities for each station. Pilot projects were carried out at some gas stations to promote mutual promotion of "gas and non-gas", such as giving away rice and instant noodles for filling 200 kilograms of LNG, and initial results were achieved.

Based on their years of experience in refined oil sales, employees have increased the popularity of outlets through online promotions and offline visits. They have established customer profiles and customized reasonable gas usage plans for customers to help them reduce their energy costs. They have provided value-added services such as simple meals and hot water to long-distance logistics drivers to truly turn gas stations into comfortable stops for customers on their journeys. Jilin Branch organized employees to promote preferential activities in customer WeChat groups, set up activity banners outside the stations, and broadcast promotional broadcasts. In the past two months, with the active efforts of employees, the average daily sales of many gas stations have increased significantly.

At present, Jilin Sales, on the basis of playing a good role in traditional energy security, takes advantage of its own resources and outlets to actively expand into the field of clean energy. It is expected that 7 more LNG outlets will be built within 2024, further improving the company's energy supply structure and enhancing its clean and low-carbon energy supply capabilities.
