n Astana, the Chairman of the Board of NC "KazMunayGas" JSC Askhat Hasenov met with Ammar Al Shaiba, the CEO of the maritime cluster of the Arab company AD Ports Group.

The parties discussed issues of bilateral cooperation in the field of maritime transport and the prospects of building a container fleet, as well as building a ship to serve offshore projects in the Caspian Sea.

Special attention was paid to the expansion of the fleet of tankers for transportation of Kazakhstan's oil in open seas. Let us remind you that an agreement on the creation of a tanker pool was signed between "Kazakh Maritime Fleet" LLP (a subsidiary of KMG) and AD Ports Group.

Today, this pool consists of 4 tankers. The volume of oil transported by these vessels since the beginning of their operation was 8.8 million tons. By the end of the year, AD Ports Group plans to add two more tankers to the pool.

Before that, the Head of State noted the special importance of the transport and logistics industry in the country's economy, including the development of the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route (TCI).

At the moment, 3 container ships of "Kazakhtengizkolikfloty" company are mobilized in the TKB network.

Taking into account AD Ports Group's extensive experience in the organization and transportation of container cargo in more than 10 countries, the issue of joint implementation of projects for the construction of container ships and ferries with an Arab company is being worked out.

Such interaction will contribute to the development of the HCMC and the opening of the transit and transportation potential of Kazakhstan.

A. Khasenov thanked the AD Ports Group team for mutually successful cooperation.
