Through its subsidiary in Mexico, Iberdrola has signed a power purchase agreement to supply electricity to five hotels in the RIU hotel chain in that country.

This agreement, to supply its hotels in Mexico with 100% emissions-free electricity, will allow the hotel to move ever closer to its decarbonisation goal.

By supplying renewable energy, the annual release of more than 35,200 tonnes of carbon dioxide (CO2) into the atmosphere will be prevented, equivalent to the annual emissions of around 7,100 vehicles.
