Strata Clean Energy is pleased to announce the appointment of Bob Schaffeld as the new President of the company. Schaffeld, who previously served as a member of Strata’s advisory board, brings more than 30 years of experience in the energy industry, with a strong focus on the deployment of over 5 GW of renewable energy over the past decade.
Schaffeld’s expertise spans utility and commercial operations, project development, and engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC). His leadership will be instrumental as Strata advances its strategy to deploy more clean energy solutions across the United States.

Prior to joining Strata, Schaffeld most recently served as Senior Vice President and Chief Development Officer of Southern Power, the wholesale energy subsidiary of Southern Company. In that role, he was pivotal in driving growth through acquisitions and the development and construction of energy projects across U.S. wholesale power markets. His leadership contributed to the addition of over 5 GW of clean power generation, focusing on wind, solar, energy storage, and natural gas solutions.
