The Oil Projects Company laid the foundation stone for the Wasit Oil Authority buildings project, which represents a step that contributes to developing and enhancing the administrative and organizational performance in the Central Oil Company.
The event was attended by the General Manager of the Oil Projects Company, Engineer Ali Ward Hamoud, the General Manager of the Central Oil Company, Engineer Mohammed Yassin, and a number of senior staff in the two companies, in addition to the Head of the Energy Committee in Wasit Governorate, Ms. Rasul Ihsan, and the member of the Energy Committee, Representative Basem Al-Gharbawi, and representatives of the Wasit Governorate Council. The foundation stone for the project was laid.
The company's general manager, Eng. Ali Ward Hamoud, said, "In accordance with the directives of the Deputy Prime Minister for Energy Affairs and Minister of Oil, Mr. Hayan Abdul Ghani Al-Sawad, and the vision of the Ministry, we have today begun laying the foundation stone for the Wasit Oil Authority building project, so that this project will be a new start that contributes to developing and enhancing the administrative and organizational performance in the Middle Oil Company.
He added, "This project is an important step in enhancing functional work to reflect the interest of the two companies through developing the infrastructure, which contributes to supporting the oil sector in Iraq."
The general manager explained, "The project extends over an area of ????6 dunums, and includes the construction of a building consisting of three floors with an area estimated at 1100 square meters, in addition to a shelter with an area of ????170 square meters within the building area. The project also includes the construction of a building for inquiries, a private parking lot, gardens, and a concrete fence surrounding the project."
For his part, the general manager of the Middle Oil Company, Eng. Muhammad Yassin, said, "It is very happy to stand before you to lay the foundation stone for a building that has been long awaited for many years The opening was crowned today after strenuous efforts by the two companies, Central Oil and Oil Projects. Under the direct guidance of the Deputy Prime Minister for Energy Affairs, the esteemed Minister of Oil, and daily follow-up by the Undersecretary of the Ministry for Extraction Affairs, the project was referred to the Oil Projects Company. We hope that our colleagues in the Oil Projects Company will make more efforts to complete the project within the specified time frame.”
