JERA Co., Inc, ENEOS Power Corporation, and Kyushu Electric Power Company, through Goi United Generation LLC, have been moving forward with replacement work at Goi Thermal Power Station. We hereby announce that Goi Thermal Power Station Unit 2 has begun commercial operation today.
Goi Thermal Power Station Unit 2 uses an LNG-fired gas turbine combined cycle (GTCC) system. With a generating capacity of 780 MW, we believe it will contribute to a stable electricity supply. Furthermore, as a state-of-the-art thermal power plant featuring world-leading power generation efficiency, it mitigates environmental impact by reducing CO2 emissions.
The three companies will continue to move steadily forward with state-of-the-art replacement work at Goi Thermal Power Station.
