The Tech South West Awards showcase the leaders in technology innovation across the whole of the UK South West region – Cornwall, Devon, Dorset, Somerset, Wiltshire, Bristol, and Gloucestershire.

Richard Parkinson, CEO of Inyanga Marine Energy Group, said: “This is a fantastic win for our company. We were up against incredibly strong competition, as South West England has an outstanding innovative marine tech sector.

“This accolade rounds off an immensely exciting year for Inyanga Marine Energy Group. We have won a contract to develop the first tidal energy plant in Southeast Asia, secured agreement to develop the first tidal energy plant in Indonesia and we were allocated an additional 10 MW through the UK Government Contracts for Difference scheme for our tidal energy project at Morlais in Wales, doubling the size of our project there – the largest award for tidal energy in the UK in latest allocation round.
