Alexey Miller & Kazakh First Deputy Prime Minister Discuss Current and Prospective Cooperation

A working meeting between Alexey Miller, Chairman of the Gazprom Management Committee, and Roman Sklyar, First Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan, took place.

The parties discussed their ongoing and future cooperation. For instance, attention was paid to the cooperation in gas supplies and transmission.

The Heads of Agreement for the processing and sales of gas from the Karachaganak field for 2025–2026 was signed at the meeting.

Background
October 2023 saw the start of Russian natural gas supplies to the consumers of the Republic of Uzbekistan across the Republic of Kazakhstan. The gas supplies are arranged in reverse flow via a dedicated route that uses the Central Asia – Center gas trunkline system.

In November 2023, Gazprom and the Government of Kazakhstan signed the Agreement of Strategic Cooperation.
