Yunnan Petrochemical's Aromatics Product Yield Hits New High

China Petroleum Network News (Reporter Yang Yong, Correspondent Tang Long) On the morning of November 25, Xiao Hanjian, the leader of the process technology group of the third refining department of Yunnan Petrochemical, went straight to the reforming complex to adjust the temperature as soon as he arrived at the plant. This is a specific measure taken by Yunnan Petrochemical to increase the yield of aromatic products. As of that day, Yunnan Petrochemical's aromatic product output this year increased by 571,000 tons compared with the same period last year, with a yield of 36.8%, setting a new record since it was put into production.

Since the beginning of this year, Yunnan Petrochemical has been deeply promoting the "reducing oil and increasing chemicals, reducing oil and increasing specialties", carrying out refined management of aromatics production, and continuously optimizing product structure. Starting from the source, the Production and Operation Department increased the processing ratio of modified naphtha to more than 30%, solving the problem of the reduction in the proportion of high aromatic potential raw materials in the reforming feed. As the main production department of aromatics products, the Refining Department 3 has always taken "maximizing the benefits of the device and the product" as its goal, and has taken multiple measures to improve the yield and output. They have significantly improved the recovery rate of aromatics by improving the production process, changing the position of the extraction tower feed port, increasing the feed temperature of the extraction distillation tower, and increasing the reflux of the extraction distillation tower.

Since the beginning of winter, the temperature has dropped sharply, making it difficult to protect aromatics equipment from the cold. The company's multiple departments have worked together to increase the production and sales of aromatics instead of decreasing. The Marketing and Transportation Department actively implemented the market penetration strategy, opened up all links of "production, transportation, and sales", expanded sales channels, achieved full production and sales of aromatics, and effectively transformed "good products" into "good benefits".
