Eurowind Energy is expanding its operations in Sweden and has opened a new office in Östersund and is planning another one in the area around Skellefteå.
” Since Sweden is such a long country with its 1,600 km, there is of course great value in being able to have staff on site with local knowledge, but also to be able to meet landowners and others on site”, said Pontus Hallbäck, Country Manager Sweden.
Electricity in Sweden is most expensive in the south, but it is in the north that the expansion of large factories takes place and therefore electricity will also be consumed more in the north.
For a few months now, the office in Östersund has been in operation and so far, consists of two business developers. The plan is to recruit two more in 2025 to the yet-to-be-opened office in the Skellefteå area. The need for sustainable energy is expected to increase in the future.
” Electrification is important for Sweden and climate transition, and there are many companies that want to establish themselves here, but there is not enough green energy. Several calculations and analyses show that Sweden will need to double the country's electricity production within the next ten years, and Eurowind Energy wants to be part of the energy development”, said Pontus Hallbäck.
