Honeywell Discusses Development of Iraqi Oil Refineries

The Undersecretary of the Ministry for Refining Affairs, Mr. Hamid Younis, stressed the Ministry's keenness to cooperate with solid international companies, in implementation of the government's directives within its government program and the directives of the Deputy Prime Minister for Energy Affairs and Minister of Oil, Mr. Hayan Abdul Ghani, to develop the refining sector. This came during his reception of the CEO of Honeywell in the Middle East, Mr. "James Moshi" and Mr. Mohammed Al-Shabout, the company's president in Iraq.

During the meeting, they discussed enhancing joint cooperation between the two sides in the refining sector, and to follow up on the outcomes of the meeting with the Deputy Prime Minister for Energy Affairs and Minister of Oil, during his visit to the "Honeywell" company in the American city of Houston on the sidelines of his visit to the United States last September. The meeting was attended by the Director General of the Department of Studies, Planning and Follow-up, Mr. Naseer Aziz Jabbar, and the Assistant Director General of the Southern Refineries Company.
