Corio Generation has today announced that Jonathan Cole has taken the decision to step down as CEO following three years of successful leadership.
Samuel Leupold is to become CEO, with the change effective from 31 January 2025. Samuel Leupold has been Chair of the Board since Corio’s launch and brings over 25 years of industry experience, including as the former CEO of Ørsted Wind Power. Prior to Ørsted, Samuel held roles at ABB and McKinsey & Company specialising in utilities and industrials. Mark Dooley will replace Samuel as Chair of the Board with Samuel remaining on the Board of Directors.
Mark Dooley said: “Since the launch of Corio in April 2022, Jonathan Cole has led the creation of a world class offshore wind business. On behalf of the board, I would like to thank Jonathan for his commitment and drive in taking Corio to this stage in its development. We’re delighted to welcome Samuel Leupold as the incoming CEO and look forward to his leadership through the company’s next phase.”
