Zelestra, a global, multi-technology, customer-focused, renewable energy company, has closed a ten-year power purchase agreement (PPA) in Spain with a leading global technology and AI company.
The client, which has a large presence in Spain, will purchase 177 GWh of renewable energy per year from the Escatrón II and Fuendetodos II solar projects, both located in Zaragoza, Aragón. These projects, which have a total capacity of more than 109 MWp, will reduce 45,150 tons of CO2 emissions per year.
It is anticipated that both projects will be fully commissioned by the end of 2026.
Iván Nieto, Chief Commercial Officer at Zelestra, commented: “Zelestra is a trusted partner for large businesses across the world, which is driving the continued growth of our company in all markets. Spain is one of our largest growth markets, and this latest agreement will help to ensure that two major solar projects will be constructed in the Zaragoza region.”
