ProLogium’s Giganews brings the latest updates on the construction of its electric vehicle battery gigafactory in Dunkirk. The company has obtained the building permit and the environmental authorization (DDAE), two essential milestones for the project’s construction.

These approvals attest to the collective efforts of ProLogium’s teams in both Taiwan and France since the project’s announcement in May 2023. Submitted in May 2024, the building permit and DDAE applications concluded with a public consultation last October. ProLogium extends its sincere gratitude to the prefecture services and its supporters at both local and national levels.

As previously mentioned, this Dunkirk gigafactory will be built in three stages: construction starting in 2025, production beginning in 2027, and full capacity ramp-up contingent on market conditions.

Future editions of this newsletter will provide further updates on the project’s progress. Currently, the selection process for the construction partner (s) is underway.
