Led by the Governor of the State, the delegation made up of some twenty institutional and business representatives held a working meeting with Francesc Sánchez, President of the Valenciaport Foundation and Deputy Director of Digital Transformation and Innovation of the Port Authority of València (PAV)
The Governor of the State of Yucatan, Joaquín Diaz, together with the Secretary of Economy and Labour, Emilio Barrera, and the Undersecretary of Investment, Economic Development and Financing, Roger Góngora, have visited today the facilities of the Port of València accompanied by a delegation of institutional and business representatives of the Mexican state. They also held a working meeting with Francesc Sánchez -president of the Valenciaport Foundation and deputy director of Digital Transformation and Innovation of the Port Authority of València- and Cristina Rodriguez -container manager of the PAV.
The visit is part of the action being carried out by the government of the state of Yucatan to promote the commercial activity of the state. The delegation showed special interest in the actions being carried out by Valenciaport in terms of connectivity, sustainability, digitalisation and new infrastructures.
In addition to the institutional positions, the meeting was attended by the president of Coparmex, Emilio Blanco; the president of Canaco, Levy Abraham Macari; Alejandro Guerrero, president of Index; and José Chaupur, director of Grupo Palace, among others.
The historic relations between the PAV and the Mexican ports translate into close collaboration in areas such as training or maritime innovation projects. In fact, Mexico is one of the countries that contributes most students to the courses and master’s degrees related to the maritime sector led by the Valenciaport Foundation, including the Master’s Degree in Port Management and Intermodal Transport that the APV has exported to Aztec lands.
