Consultation is now open on Inch Cape’s application to the Scottish Government’s Marine Directorate (MD-LOT) for the project’s offshore safety zones.
The project is applying for:
500 metre (m) ‘rolling’ safety zones at each turbine and at the offshore substation, and/or their substructures and foundations whenever construction is ongoing;
50m pre-commissioning safety zones at each of the above where construction is not ongoing up until the point of commissioning, and
500m safety zone around the above and/or the substructures where major maintenance is being undertaken during the wind farm’s operations.
As required under the relevant legislation and guidance, and in line with the standard process, Inch Cape is now consulting with key marine stakeholders on the application which is now live here alongside the public notice that will be published in selected media.
Those who would like to review the application and provide feedback should email their formal responses on the application to MD-Lot by the end of Thursday, 20 February 2025.
