Minister of Oil Receives the French Ambassador to Baghdad

Deputy Prime Minister for Energy Affairs and Minister of Oil, Mr. Hayan Abdul-Ghani Al-Sawad, received today, Thursday, the French Ambassador to Baghdad, Mr. Patrick Durel. During the meeting, they discussed prospects for joint cooperation between the two friendly countries in the field of oil, gas and energy. It is noteworthy that the ministry has many projects with the French company Total, including a project to invest associated gas in a number of oil fields in the Basra Oil Company to increase gas production rates to support power generation stations. It is also worth noting that the Minister of Oil laid the foundation stone at the beginning of this month for the accelerated gas investment project in the Artawi field with a capacity of 50 Mcm.
