Epic Energy is pleased to advise that the Port Pirie Lateral Pipeline resumed operations on 30/1/25 following a scheduled assessment.
The pipeline is now delivering gas to customers in the towns of Port Pirie and Whyalla earlier than expected after the routine assessment was completed to gather data that will inform the pipeline’s maintenance and ongoing operations.
We thank the emergency services and regulatory authorities who have worked closely with us to ensure the assessment occurred with all required approvals, permits and safety measures in place.
Our thanks also go to our customers, landowners and stakeholders for their support in the lead up to and during the assessment.
Epic Energy will now review the data captured by the assessment to inform the pipeline’s maintenance and ongoing operations.
We will also remove the temporary worksite created at Bungama, near Port Pirie, and return the area to the landowners.
