NYAB has signed a contract with Trosa municipality for the construction of a transfer pipeline between Vagnhärad and Hölö. The project has an order value of SEK 132 million and will start in the spring of 2025 and be completed in the autumn of 2026.
In the project NYAB will construct a complete facility for a pressure sewage transfer pipeline, including four new pump stations. As part of this work, a14-kilometer-long transfer pipeline will be built the Himmerfjärdsverket in Grödinge. The pipeline will replace the two local treatment plants that the municipality currently operates.
"We are proud that NYAB is entrusted with developing Trosa's infrastructure. The transfer pipeline will mostly be laid using directional drilling, which means less impact on the landscape than traditional digging and also lower climate impact. Trosa municipality is a new customer for us, and we look forward to cooperating with them," says Daniel Johansson, Business Area Manager Industry and Energy.
The construction is dimensioned to handle the population increase expected in Trosa until 2060 and is the municipality's largest water and sewage investment ever.
