Petrobras has signed contracts for new onshore drilling rigs focused on expanding onshore oil and gas production in the state of Bahia. The contracts signed with EBS and Conterp total a value of approximately R$707 million and will allow drilling of new deep wells and the expansion of Petrobras' operations in onshore fields located in the region.
The hiring process may reach 65% of local content, considering the history of providing this type of service, and may provide for the generation/maintenance of 530 direct and indirect jobs during the term, according to the projection provided by the companies.
The contracted rigs will participate in the next onshore drilling campaign, scheduled for the period from September 2025 to June 2029. The company EBS Perfurações will provide onshore well drilling services with a depth of up to 5,000 meters, while the company Conterp will be responsible for drilling wells with a depth of up to 4,000 meters. The contracts were signed in January of this year.
