Dolma Fund Management has joined the International Hydropower Association (IHA) as members.

Established in 2014, it is the first institutional fund manager focused on Nepal. The company invests in medium to large businesses in renewable energy, healthcare and technology sectors.

With Nepal’s renewable energy sector rapidly expanding, Dolma has cited IHA membership as an opportunity to develop its expertise and best practices to advance sustainability, while scaling clean energy investments.

The company has stated its desire to implement sustainability measures at the Setikhola Hydropower project in Pokhara and hopes to showcase how hydropower development can go beyond energy generation to create a lasting positive impact.

Tim Gocher OBE DL, Founder and CEO, Dolma Fund Management, said: “Sustainable hydropower is not just about generating clean energy; it’s about building resilient communities, protecting biodiversity and driving long-term economic growth. At Dolma, we believe in creating lasting impact by balancing infrastructure development with environmental and social responsibility.”

Eddie Rich, IHA CEO, commented: “IHA welcomes Dolma as members. We look forward to helping Dolma develop its sustainable investment practices in one of the most exciting markets in the world. Nepal is developing its hydropower sector at a rapid rate. IHA opened its Himalayas Office in Kathmandu last year and last week co-hosted a workshop on Unlocking the Green Monetisation of Nepal’s Hydropower in Kathmandu, alongside IPPAN and ProClime. I look forward to supporting Dolma's efforts in clean and green investment in the country.”
