Guangdong Petrochemical's Monthly Output of No. 70A Grade Asphalt Hit a Record High

The monthly output of Grade 70A asphalt produced by Guangdong Petrochemical exceeded 80,000 tons. This is a historical high since the production of this asphalt product began in 2024.

Since the beginning of this year, Guangdong Petrochemical has faced the problem of insufficient flow meter range of the third-line asphalt reduction. It has optimized the balance of materials such as residual oil and wax oil, and realized the efficient pre-production mode of "completing the preparation for the next month's demand before the 25th of each month" in advance. The Production Operation Department and the Refining Department of the First Division scientifically assessed the risks and successfully replaced the differential pressure transmitter, increasing the flow limit from 15.7 tons/hour to 50 tons/hour, and the blending efficiency to 3 times the original level, and the monthly production capacity increased by more than 75%. In order to solve the problem of delayed sampling and analysis of the residue reduction, the "third-line crude asphalt mixing calculation method" was adopted. By comparing the data of the finished product tank, the formula was dynamically adjusted to increase the blending success rate to more than 99.5%. At the same time, the control of the proportion of atmospheric and vacuum crude oil was strengthened, and the proportion of Basra heavy crude oil was strictly controlled to ensure the stability of core indicators such as needle penetration, reaching the leading level in the industry.

Guangdong Petrochemical's production department, marketing team and fuel oil company deepened the "shipping schedule + flexible production" coordination mechanism and formulated a dynamic schedule of "weekly verification and monthly rolling". Since May 2024, 70#A grade asphalt has covered provinces such as Jiangsu, Guangdong, Hunan, and Hubei, and exports have covered countries such as Thailand and Malaysia.
