The Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources announced on Thursday 12/6/2025 that Khalda Petroleum Company is set to bring two new oil wells online later in June with an estimated initial combined production of 5,400 barrels of crude oil per day.

In a statement, the ministry said that this promising overture falls within the framework of the ministry’s continued efforts to accelerate linking newly discovered oil fields with production lines.

This will help stabilize Egypt’s local energy market and reduce dependency on imported oil.
