On June 13, 2025, Axpo Systems AG acquired 100% of the shares in CKW Fiber Services AG from CKW AG in an intra-group transaction. The acquisition will enable the realization of important synergies in the Axpo Group's connectivity services offering and the expansion and further development of services for customers.
CKW Fiber Services AG is a leading operator of its own fiber optic networks and the largest provider of IT infrastructure and housing space in its own data centers and colocation centers in Central Switzerland. The company has pursued a growth strategy in recent years and marked a milestone in its history with the commissioning of the Rotkreuz data center at the end of 2022.
Axpo Systems AG specializes in the engineering, implementation, and 24/7 operation of high-quality, crisis-proof communications solutions and is a leading integration partner for many systemically important organizations in Switzerland. The company, headquartered in Lupfig, is represented at five locations throughout Switzerland with approximately 140 employees.
The acquisition by Axpo Systems AG will enable the realization of further synergies in the Axpo Group's connectivity offering, as well as the expansion and further development of customer services. The location in Emmen, Lucerne, and the 15 jobs of CKW Fiber Services AG will remain.
