Eni: Carbofin Group purchased the Tanker activities

Eni communicates to have sold its Tanker activities to Carbofin Energia Trasporti shipping company, for a total amount of 52 million euro.

Carbofin purchased two double-hull oil tankers (Eco Europa and Euro Africa) and two product-carrier oil tankers (Agip Napoli and Agip Palermo). Moreover, Carbofin took the running of 4 methane carriers for the remaining duration of 8 years and 6 months, the running of a FPSO ship - Nan Hai Fa Xian - in the Chinese offshore and two rent contracts with the Eni’s division Refining & Marketing.

The deal is part of the ongoing program of concentration towards the core business and rationalization of the non-core activities.

The agreement reached together with Carbofin assures the employment preservation as well as the contractual and prescriptive agreement.
