Petkim to Launch LNG Processing Produced at Baku

From here on, Turkish “Petkim” Petrochemical Holding controlled by “SOCAR-TURCAS” Joint Venture will start the deep processing of liquefied gas produced at the SOCAR’s Baku Oil Refinery named after Heydar Aliyev.

The deep processing of 120,000-150,000 tons of liquefied gas at the “Petkim” will create new economic opportunities for SOCAR. The transportation of liquated gas produced in Baku will be conducted from the Georgian port of Batumi to Aliagha region in Turkey by a special tanker purchased by the “Palmali” Group of Companies on the basis of the signed agreement.
