WinWinD and the French-based InnoVent have signed a contract for six 3 MW wind turbines. WinWinD will deliver the WWD-3 turbines to wind parks located in the Northern France in the municipalities of Fiefs and Sains-lès-Pernes by the end of 2011. The hub height of the turbines is 88 m and the rotor diameter is 103 m. financing for the project is provided by Triodos Bank Belgium and Crédit Coopératif (France) who are supported by Export Credit Guarantees from Finnvera.
In addition to this, WinWinD and InnoVent have agreed on the delivery of two 1 MW wind turbines. These turbines are of the WWD-1 type, and they will be installed in the Northern France in the town of Boutavent in fall 2011. The hub height of these turbines will be 66 meters and rotor diameter 64 meters.
“These two contracts are important and logical steps for WinWinD to strengthen our presence in France. Our current installed base in France is more than twenty one megawatt turbines. We have installed our first WWD-3 turbines already in 2004, and now, we extend our business in France by introducing the 3 MW turbines also to this market”, says Peter Holmgaard, Chief Sales Officer for WinWinD.
