Fugro Awarded Technip France; Dalia Pre-Engineering Survey

Fugro has been awarded the contract to provide Geophysical and Geotechnical Pre-Engineering Survey Services to the Dalia Development Field Project offshore Angola, West Africa.

The contract was awarded by Technip, Paris and is for the supply of services to undertake the Deepwater (circa. 1400m water depth) Geophysical and Geotechnical works in advance of installation operations on the field development project to be undertaken by Technip.

The Deepwater Geophysical survey works will be managed by Fugro Survey Limited, Aberdeen, Scotland. The Multi-Role ROVSV, 'Skandi Carla' will be utilised to undertake the geophysical route and anchor location surveys using ROV based acquisition methods.

The Deepwater Geotechnical survey works will be managed by Fugro France, Nanterre, France in cooperation with Fugro Engineers BV, Leidschendam, Netherlands. The Deepwater geotechnical drilling vessel, ‘SRV Bavenit’ which is currently deployed offshore West Africa will be utilised to undertake the geotechnical surveys.
