Satcon Technology Corporation, a leading provider of utility-scale power conversion solutions for the renewable energy market, announced that it signed a Master Service Agreement with Borrego Solar to provide 35 megawatts (MW) of industry leading utility-ready solar power solutions.

"Borrego Solar is pleased to enter into a mutually beneficial partnership with Satcon," said Aaron Hall, President of Borrego Solar who manages the national installer's procurement of major PV system components. "Borrego Solar only sources the highest quality products for its customers, and this supply commitment from Satcon ensures we'll have access to some of the most proven inverter technologies on the market when we need, and at competitive prices."

As part of this agreement, Borrego Solar will utilize the entire Satcon solution portfolio including PowerGate(R) Plus, the world's most widely deployed utility-ready solution; Satcon Solstice(R), the industry's first complete system solution for utility-scale solar; Satcon Equinox(TM), the next generation inverter solution with 98.5% efficiency and industry leading thermal operating range; and Satcon Prism Platform(TM), a fully integrated multi-megawatt medium voltage (MV) solution optimized for utility-scale PV installations. All of Satcon's solutions include advanced utility-ready features to enable simplified grid interconnection and can be easily integrated into SCADA systems through standardized communication interfaces.

"Borrego is one of California's most progressive solar developers," said Darryl Parker, Satcon's Vice President of Sales for North America. "This expanded partnership agreement will strengthen our already strong collaboration as we continue to work closely to deliver the next generation of solar power together."

These projects will be a combination of military, commercial, and utility-scale solar installations and are expected to be installed over the next 12 months.
