The Energy Alternatives Division of Cupertino Electric, Inc. announced that it has been selected by Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E) to design and build a 20 megawatt (MW) solar photovoltaic (PV) project in Huron, California for the utility company. Engineering of the project has begun and construction of the project is underway. The entire 20 MW project is anticipated to be complete and inter-connected by mid-2012.
“Having just completed two successful utility-scale solar projects for PG&E, we are extremely excited to again partner with PG&E on this new 20 MW project,” said Paul Aggarwal, vice president of operations for Cupertino Electric’s Energy Alternatives Division. “Not only do we get to work with some of the best people in the industry, but we also get the opportunity to explore new and innovative ways to deliver utility-scale projects faster and more efficiently on each subsequent project we construct.”
