The President of the Republic of Angola, Jose Eduardo dos Santos, and Eni CEO Paolo Scaroni met in Luanda to discuss Eni's activities and projects in the country. In the meeting, the parties talked about the important results achieved through recent exploration in Angola, including the discoveries made in offshore block 15/06, the high mineral potential areas, and progress achieved by the company in implementing the current projects under development.
Furthermore, under the traditional relationship with producing countries, Eni aims to contribute to local economic and industrial development: the parties will evaluate any new opportunities for joint initiatives for the further development of the hydrocarbon sector in the country.
Angola is one of the core countries in Eni's organic production growth strategy. Eni has been present in Angola since 1980. Its current equity production is approximately 130,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day.
