PSA Carried out Audit of Engineering of Valemon Jacket

On 7 and 8 December 2011, the Petroleum Safety Authority Norway (PSA) carried out an audit of Statoil in connection with the engineering of load-bearing structures on Valemonís jacket.

Objective
The objective was, through spot checks, to ensure the engineering of the load-bearing structures is taking place pursuant to the applicable regulatory framework.

Results
No nonconformities were identified.

Improvement items were identified in connection with :

- The scope of verifications
- Effect of weight increase in the event of a fire
- Attenuation of jacket structures
