A meeting with the delegation led by Romania's Presidential Advisor for National Security Julian Fota was held at Head office of SOCAR. Welcoming the guests, SOCAR vice president on investments and marketing Elshad Nassirov stressed the successful development of bilateral relations between Romania and Azerbaijan in all spheres and expressed confidence that cooperation in oil-gas sector between the two countries would be extended.
Expressing gratitude for reception, Romania's Presidential Advisor for National Security Julian Fota stated that the operations of SOCAR are closely observed in his country and they are informed about the achievements of the company. Afterwards, he presented the representatives of Romanian delegation. Mr. Fota noted that they were interested in development of cooperation in all spheres of economy, especially in oil-gas sector.
SOCAR vice president Elshad Nassirov spoke about Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli, Shah Deniz projects, as well SOCAR’s achievements in independently developed fields, record development in oil and gas production in Azerbaijan, as well as discovering new gas fields. The guests were also informed on diversified oil and gas pipelines system of Azerbaijani oil and gas to the world market. Azerbaijan’s role in providing energy security of Europe, possible gas export routes, and other issues were also discussed during the meeting.
The meeting was attended by Azerbaijani Ambassador to Romania Eldar Hasanov and Romanian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Daniel Cristian Ciobanu.
