Andrey Skrepnyuk was born in 1964, Leningrad. In 1989 he graduated from Leningrad Polytechnic Institute, majoring in turbine construction. He started his working activity in 1986.
From 1986 to 1989 – Maintenance-Technician, Aurora Pilot Plant; Expert at Aurora – Central Institute of Science & Technology, Scientific-Production Association.
From 1989 to 1993 – Leading Engineer, Chief Engineers Office; Chief Engineer, Giprospetsgaz Institute, Gidrotruboprovod Scientific-Production Association.
From 1993 to 1997 – Engineer of Gas Compressor Service, Priozernoye Linepipe Operation Center of Tyumentransgaz gas trunklines.
From 1997 to 2001 – Chief Engineer, Chief Engineers Office, Deputy Technical Director, Deputy Chief Engineer of Giprospetsgaz.
From 2001 to 2006 – Chief Engineer, Chief Engineer-First Deputy of Director General at Gidrotruboprovod.
From 2006 to 2012 – Deputy Director General for science Gazprom VNIIGAZ (former VNIIGAZ).
The Project Operations Department as well as Prospective Development Department was set on the basis of Gazprom's Strategic Development Department at the end of 2011.
Main tasks to be implemented by the Project Operations Department are pre-investment studies implementation as well as design and exploration work, examination, support of new production facilities construction and expansion, reconstruction and technical re-equipment of the current facilities.
The Project Operations Department is a part of Gazprom's production structure and functions under the guidance of Vitaly Markelov Deputy Chairman of the Management Committee.
