Leading international well flow management company Expro has secured a subsea services contract in the Gulf of Mexico (GOM) with global energy company Chevron U.S.A. Inc. The scope of work involves providing two 15ksi rated auxiliary strings complete with direct hydraulic umbilicals and reelers for tubing hanger operations for two projects in the deepwater Gulf of Mexico. The contract will run for an estimated time of three years with the possibility of extension.
Vice president of Expro’s North America offshore operations Geoff Magie said: “Chevron is one of the largest leaseholders in the GOM and is currently developing a number of fields in the area with further evaluations ongoing. This contract award will allow us to exhibit our subsea product portfolio and also promote other products and services that Expro offers across the lifecycle of the well.
“With more than 20 years of deepwater well testing experience, we deliver cost effective, engineered solutions which meet industry standards and client demands. From our operating bases in North America we are well placed to offer well testing, subsea safety systems, downhole cameras, wireline intervention, calipers & power tools, production systems, tubing conveyed perforating, and production service tools.”
