The Omsk refinery has increased its refining output by 4% to 8.39 Mt during the 5 months of 2012 compared to the year ago period. The refinery's output of high-octane motor gasolines went up 18.4 % to 1.7 Mt.

The output of fuels for ship propulsion systems grew by 55% to 747.4 Mt with the production of low-viscosity ship fuels increasing to 458.2 Mt. The output of jet fuel rose by over 7% to 597.5 Mt.

In May the Omsk refinery put into operation a catalyst cracking gasoline hydrotreatment unit. Its capacity is 1.2 Mt per year. The unit is designed to produce Euro-4 and Euro-5 gasolines meeting the highest operational and environmental requirements. The new production unit is part of the selective treatment facility for gasolines and diesel fuels, whose second stage, a diesel fuels hydrotreatment unit with a capacity of 3 Mt per year, will come on line in 3Q, 2012. It is expected that starting from 2013 all high-octane gasolines produced by the Omsk refinery will conform to the 5th emission class of the Technical Regulations for Motor Fuel Quality.
