KIOGE provides an executive-level business platform for local and international oil and gas professionals to discuss the key operational and technical issues faced by companies operating in Kazakhstan. Over 5,500 visitors, 400 exhibitors, 700 delegates from more than 20 countries are expected to attend this year.
The 20th edition has the official support of the Minister of Oil & Gas of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Sauat Mynbaev, who states: “KIOGE has been one of the main events in the country’s oil and gas sector. It is an important platform for discussing pressing sector issues and establishing dialogue between domestic and international partners from the public and private sectors”.
To celebrate the 20th anniversary, a new ‘KIOGE Advisory Board’ has been introduced to ensure all content development directly involves the input of the oil and gas industry. The board comprises senior experts from the Ministry of Oil & Gas of Kazakhstan, Tengizchevroil, Kazakhstan Petroleum Association, Schlumberger Logelco, plus others.
New additions to this year’s conference programme include: increasing the efficiency of production and development in Kazakhstan; new oil and gas discoveries; oil and gas transportation challenges; new sessions on downstream activities and geological exploration.
Graeme Coombes, Head of Oil and Gas, ITE Group Plc states: “This year, our focus has been on working closer with the industry and reviewing our participants' feedback over the past 2 decades. We aim to ensure that KIOGE remains as Central Asia’s leading oil and gas event – developed in collaboration with the industry, to address the key technical and operational needs of the industry”.
