Industrial liquid and gas operations will find improved flow metering performance in the new Blancett B3000 Flow Monitor. As part of the Badger Meter Blancett Turbine Flow Meter family, the new metering solution, a recent update from the B2800, provides a flexible, durable and easy-to-use platform suited for even the most demanding environments. With advanced connectivity options, the meters can easily be connected to networks for remote monitoring and process automation capabilities. And, robust alarm parameters provide faster warning when something changes in the process or pipeline.
“The new B3000 builds upon the great success we’ve had with the Blancett B2800 Flow Monitor,” says John Erskine, director, Industrial Sales for Badger Meter. “We’ve included a variety of innovative features such as smart power switching between external loop power and the internal lithium battery, as well as two programmable status alarms. It also features communications options for Modbus RTU in the B30A and B30Z models.”
The B3000 is available in several enclosure options for both liquid and gas applications, from intrinsically safe and explosion (flame) proof ratings to an innovative solar-powered model. Models are housed in a UV-Resistant, NEMA 4X-rated enclosure available in direct, panel, pipe, DIN-rail or swivel mounts. An updated display and enhanced totalization options provide more flow information, including rate and total displays viewable at the same time as well as standard, batch and grand totals.
“This new Blancett model still offers the best features of the B2800, including easy programmability and a robust suite of flow measurement functions,” says Erskine. “On top of that we have added advanced power management to allow monitors located in remote locations to keep functioning for up to eight years before needing a battery replacement.”
