ECHEM Plans to Invest $6bn for PC Projects in Sokhna

Sami Abdul-Hadi, the acting chairman of the Holding Company for Petrochemicals said that the Egyptian gas represents a national wealth that must be preserved and exploited in the development of petrochemical industry.

Abdul-Hadi pointed out that we can provide nearly USD 15 billion through exporting products and reducing imports of petrochemical products, in addition to creating 100,000 jobs.

He noted that the company is currently considering a project for the establishment of a plant to transfer natural gas into petrochemical products with investment reaching nearly USD 6 billion in Ain Sokhna.
