The first automatic filling station of TATNEFT Company was put into operation in Kazan, the capital of the Republic of Tatarstan.
The project of establishing automatic filling stations designed by the Crude Oil and Petroleum Products Sales Department was approved by the Board of Directors of the JSC TATNEFT late in 2011. Its implementation began in 2012. Today, new generation automatic filling stations of TATNEFT are operating in Kemerovo, Izhevsk, Almetyevsk and Kazan.
Kazan's first automatic filling station No.465 is located in Technicheskaya Street. The automatic filling station consists of fuel dispensers, payment terminals, fuel tanks and a shelter to protect customers from rain and snow.
Given the shortage of land in big cities the construction of such mini-filling stations is the most optimal solution. Areas required for their construction are several times smaller than the ones required for the construction of a multifunctional filling station. Moreover there is no need of a large number of related design permits. The filling station construction time and running costs are reduced. All these factors taken together yield a good economic effect.
The automatic filling stations meet all current environmental requirements. The filling station operation control is performed by an operator of the nearest station. If necessary any customer can contact him through the terminal.
The convenience of the new generation filling station has already been duly appreciated by motorists. Lack of queues, the filling station compact arrangement, modern fuel dispensers and payment terminals significantly save time in the accelerated pace of life in large cities.
The second automatic filling station will be soon opened in Mira Street in Almetyevsk: start-up operations are already under way there.
In addition to the construction and reconstruction of filling stations in 2013 the works planned provide for converting ten existing TATNEFT's filling stations to operate in the automatic mode.
