Missan oil company announced about drilling of four oil wells in Al Halfaya 35 km south east Al Amara town to be the total number of well that drilled since Petrochina took the responsibility of developing of the mentioned well to 37 wells.
The D.G of Missan oil company the engineer Ali Imurig Soadj mentioned that the Chinese companies Dajin and Bohi that works as minor contractor with the major activator of Al Halfaya field which is Petrochina company, lately achieved the drilling of the well (HF107_K107) depth 3918m, the well (HF060_N060) depth 3823m, the well (HF021_N021) depth 3905m as well as the well (YA115_HF115) depth 4473 m. referring that these wells will be joined to the system of production after finishing the completion operations. pointing that the cadres of Missan oil company \division of Al Halfaya is always monitoring the foreign companies to accelerate the manner of the work and facilitate the problems which face these companies. He explained that the total number of wells which drilled in Al Halfaya field since Petrochina be the responsible about the developing operations of the field in 2010 after winning the contract of the developing of the field within the second licenses round, reached to 37 wells, including the four wells in addition to repair seven old wells became produced.
The D.G of Missan oil company clarified that the oil production volume of Al Halfaya field reached to about 110 thousands barrels daily, 106 thousands barrels of this amount have exported daily across Al Basra ports, pointing its hoped that the production of the mentioned field reaches to 535 thousands barrels daily with big amounts of gas in the first of 2017 when apply all items of the contract by Petrochina company. Al Halfaya field is one of the big field of Missan oil company where the oil storage of the field estimates about 16 billions barrels, 4 billions extractable in the present time and included 8 explored reservoirs, first well drilled in 1976.
