Gulf International Pipe Industry LLC (GIPI), the first manufacturer of 8" to 24" high pressure carbon steel pipes in Oman and the part of global pipe manufacturer TMK, received a recognition award from Petroleum Development Oman LLC (PDO) for successful production and delivery of the 158 km South Oman Gas Line project.
This achievement was celebrated at an award presentation ceremony held at the PDO headquarters in Mina Al Fahal. The award was received by Vladimir Shcherbatykh (GIPI CEO) from Suleiman al Maany, PDO Pipeline Infrastructure & Oil Terminal Manager in the presence of PDO officials and the Senior Management of Oman Investment Corporation.
Suleiman said: “It is with great pleasure that we offered our congratulations and awarded GIPI in recognition of the company’s completion of the Pipe Supply for the South Oman Gas Line project. I take this opportunity to thank the whole GIPI team for their dedication and hard work in achieving the results in this project and do wish GIPI continued success in the future.”
Vladimir Shcherbatykh, CEO of Gulf International Pipe Industry said: “ GIPI is delighted to have received this recognition from PDO. We wish to extend our heartfelt thanks to all the relevant team members and management of PDO for the support GIPI during this critical project. Vladimir concluded by also expressing deep gratitude to the Ministry of Oil and Gas being the champions for ICV and for their efforts in promoting the use of Omani manufactured products throughout the Oil and Gas Industry.
GIPI manufactures high grade carbon steel pipes and casing within a diameter range of 8-24 inches and capability for wall thickness of up to 25mm and pipe length of up to 18 meters. The pipe manufacturing process utilises state-of-the-art Fifth Generation Mill technology.
The coating facilities are also operational and capable of both internal and 3 layer external coating. GIPI is also equipped with Professional in-house Laboratory services offering full range of inspection and testing in accordance with international industry.
